The 5th China Symposium for Security Inspection and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technology held from 26th to 28th May 2013 at Shenzhen Convention Exhibition Centre located at Fuhua 3rd Road, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China

DECOD exhibited RV100 (Tracked Vehicle that houses an integrated system of UWB Antenna Array and GPS). The presence of RV100 at DECOD’s booth attracted many enthusiastic participants. The potential deployment of roving RV100 in the detection of explosive ordnance was an area of interest to many participants. Several of them requested follow-up visits and product trials at their specified locations to further explore the merits of this form of technology.

DECOD’s CEO, HY Zhi obliged to an invitation by the organiser to present his research and development findings on “The New Era of UWB Radar Antenna Array System An overview of the detection technology and applications behind the Three-Dimension, Real-Time Imaging System”.
The highlight of his presentation was a series of case-studies consisting of 3D images that were generated during detection trials at varying sites. He explained how clutter is typically eliminated to filter out the essential information. He then illustrated how crucial inferences can be drawn from the analysis of real-time 3D images. In a nutshell, his presentation uncovered the marvels of the UWB Radar Technology in the detection of buried objects.
